China KFRP Strength Members for Optical Cables - Lightweight, Durable, and Corrosion-Resistant Solutions from Leading Suppliers and Factory

Optical cable reinforcement plays a crucial role in the structure of optical cables. Typically located at the center, this component is designed to support the optical fiber unit or bundle, significantly enhancing the tensile strength of the cable. While traditional optical cables rely on metal reinforcements, there is a growing trend towards non-metal alternatives. These non-metal reinforcements are lightweight, possess high strength, are corrosion-resistant, and offer long-lasting durability. As a leading supplier and manufacturer in China, our factory focuses on providing innovative optical cable reinforcement solutions that meet the evolving needs of the market. Embrace the advantages of advanced materials for superior optical cable performance

    Product Introduction
    Optical cable reinforcement is an important component of optical cable, generally placed in the center of the optical cable, its role is to support the optical fiber unit or optical fiber bundle, improve the tensile strength of the optical cable. Traditional optical cables use metal reinforcements. Non-metal reinforcement parts with their own light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, long life advantages are more and more used in various optical cable.
    KFRP fiber cable reinforcement core (aramid fiber) is a new type of high performance composite material, which is made by pultrusion process after mixing resin as matrix material and aramid fiber as reinforcement material. KFRP cable reinforcement core (aramid fiber) overcomes the defects of traditional metal cable reinforcement parts, in addition to excellent corrosion resistance, lightning resistance, electromagnetic field interference, high tensile strength advantages, than GFRP glass fiber reinforcement core flexibility is stronger, not easy to break, can better protect the fiber, especially suitable for direct introduction from outdoor indoor occasions, It is widely used in inlet network and indoor wiring.
    KFRP Features Advantages
    (1) Compared with GFRP, KFRP has lower density, lighter weight, higher tensile strength and modulus than GFRP, low extension, low expansion, and wide temperature range;
    (2) Non-metallic materials are not sensitive to electric shock, lightning protection, excellent insulation performance, free from electromagnetic interference, suitable for lightning, rainy climate environment;
    (3) Chemical corrosion resistance, compared with the metal core, the KFRP reinforced core will not produce gas caused by the chemical reaction between the metal and the ointment and affect the fiber transmission performance;
    (4) The cable with KFRP reinforced core can be installed next to the power line and the power supply device, and will not be interfered by the induced current generated by the power line or the power supply device;
    (5) KFRP has excellent flexibility, better bending performance than GFRP, is not easy to be broken, stable size, easy to process and lay, can make indoor cable structure compact and beautiful, especially suitable for access network and complex environment small space wiring;
    (6) Impact resistance and fracture resistance, KFRP reinforced core has ultra-high tensile strength, after being accidentally broken, its tensile strength remains above 1300MPa, the modulus remains unchanged, and it will not puncture the protective sleeve and damage the optical fiber.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
    What is KFRP fiber cable reinforcement core?

    KFRP is a high-performance composite material made by a pultrusion process that mixes resin as a matrix material and aramid fiber as a reinforcement material. It provides superior support and tensile strength for optical cables.

    What are the main advantages of KFRP over GFRP?

    Compared to GFRP, KFRP has a lower density, lighter weight, higher tensile strength, and superior modulus. It also offers better flexibility, making it less prone to breaking and easier to process and lay.

    Is KFRP safe from electromagnetic interference?

    Yes, being a non-metallic material, KFRP is highly insulated and completely free from electromagnetic interference. It can be safely installed next to power lines without being affected by induced currents.

    What is the standard delivery length for KFRP cores?

    For diameter ranges between 0.40mm and 3.00mm, the standard delivery length is ≧25km. Non-standard lengths and diameters can also be produced according to specific user requirements.

    How should KFRP reinforced cores be stored?

    They should be kept within a temperature range of -40°C to +60°C. They must not be stacked high, rolled over long distances, subjected to mechanical damage, or exposed to long-term moisture and rain.
